HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?
I am most often booked for two weeks in advance, but sometimes there may be an opening, due to a postponement.
HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?
Our feeling is that you do not need hundreds & hundreds of photos from which to choose. We make each photo count in order to be sure you have what you need.
Instead of just shooting, we craft each shot.
Sessions may last an hour to four hours, depending upon how many different changes you want. The session is entirely digitial.
WHAT ABOUT MY WARDROBE/HAIR?
Bring a good selection of the outfits that you like and feel good for you. We recommend that you avoid busy patterns.
Layers are good. Use your judgment about what look you want to achieve. We will
go through your clothing selections and help you decide what looks best.
If you want a particular look, be sure to include it.
Please iron/press your clothes before arriving. We do have a steamer, but this takes your time.
Arrive with a clean face and clean hair (not wet) if you are having hair & make-up. Otherwise, come camera ready.
DO I HAVE HAIR & MAKE-UP/GROOMING FOR THE ENTIRE SHOOT?
Yes. He or she will fix things as we progress and also change your look to
fit your market. Payment is made directly to the make-up artist, CASH only.
WHEN DO I UPDATE MY PHOTOS?
Usually every three-to-five years, or when your photo no longer looks like you or
you change your working focus.
DO I GET A CD WITH ALL PICTURES?
Yes, if you want one at a charge of $20.00, but we will post them usually within 2 days and you can view them online, make your selection(s) and then work directly with your printer for retouching.
DO WE GIVE YOU RETOUCHING?
We recommend your printer or other person to do all retouching, but, we will do minor retouching on the photo of your choice. We also have a private retoucher, who is excellent.
DO WE REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
Yes. At booking, we require a deposit of $200.00, either by check, cash or credit card, which is appllied to the total cost.
Deposit is non-refundable if you do not show, or you cancel less than two days before your scheduled shoot. If you call on Friday (for instance) to cancel a Monday shoot, that is not enough time to fill your spot, so you forfeit your deposit.
If we can book someone else in your slot, we will refund your deposit.
WHERE DO WE SHOOT?
Inside and outside. We have rooftop access, which offers outdoor lighting, as well as a number of backgrounds. We are very close to Central Park as well.
